Life in the Lab:
an introduction to the Archaeological Laboratory
Professional archaeologist and Chapter Field Chair, Stephanie Tice will be presenting an introduction on how to identify, and document artifacts. This is presentation is especially important to anyone who will be working at the Florist site.
She will explain key aspects of what goes on in the lab such as washing, analysis, cataloging, how sensitive artifacts can be curated, storage and report generation. She will also report on the Florist site and give an overview of it and what we have found, what we hope to still find, etc.
All are welcome - program is free - no charge to the public.

It would be of great help, but not necessary, for anyone who has a digital gram scale to please bring it, a toothbrush, colander, or wash basin (such as a rubbermaid tub). These will be available but helpful if we had extra. Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest and hope to see you over the next few weeks.
