January 2008 edition of "THE ARCHAEOLOGIST" issued.

Ray has sent out the January 2008 issue of the "THE ARCHAEOLOGIST" to all Chapter members.

Meeting The regular meeting will be held on Friday, January 18 starting at 7:30 P.M., at the Methodist Church in Goshen. Chapter VP David Johnson and his camera will transport us to the remote Himalayan village of Gatlang and explain how that culture relates to ancient Peruvian cultures. Bring a friend, all are welcome.

IOCCNYSAA will host the NYS Association annual meeting in the spring of 2010.

Pres. Kevin Storms will display his paintings at the The Basha Kill, a Quiet Treasure" exhibition February 20th to March 20th at O.C.C.C.along with other local artists. Admission is free.

Member Edward Lenik has a new book coming out, Lost Arrowheads and Broken Pottery.

The publisher is Palisades Park Commission.

Member Kate Ahmadi reports that a survey of rock shelters is underway at Harriman State Park.

The seventh People's Seminar will be held on March 22, 2008 at the NYS Museum.
