Happy New Year to everyone! I am also happy to say that we all survived the end of the Mayan Calendar. If we have inclement weather forecast for our chapter meetings in January and February I will cancel the meeting by 4 PM on the day of the meeting. I will send out an email message and call those who don't receive the newsletter through the internet. If you don't receive a message please call me. I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.

Pueblo Bonito one of the Great Houses in Chaco Canyon.
David Johnson will be presenting on his Chaco Canyon research which was conducted last September. He had a National Park Service research permit which allowed him to survey areas of the park which are not open to the public. Chaco Canyon is one of the most important archaeological sites in North America as the Chaco / Anasazi Culture influenced the entire region.
