Chester Historical Society seeks local items for Civil War exhibit

ITEMS NEEDED FOR CIVIL WAR EXHIBIT!

This year continues the 150th anniversary remembrance of the Civil War.  In 2012, the Chester Historical Society is sponsoring an exhibit about the Civil War at the 1915 Erie Station Museum from May 5th – Oct 27th.
We have a small number of items in the Society archives and a few donations from members, but we really need more to make this a rich and worthwhile exhibit.
So…we need your help.  If you have any items related, that help to tell the story of those times that you would like to exhibit, we would be honored to include them.  Especially needed are items with local connections such as the photos below of Betty Murray Carey's great-grandfather James Henry Conklin in uniform and then in later years with his wife, Mary Ann, at their Chester home.
Items may be delivered to the 1915 Erie Station Museum, 19 Winkler Place on Saturday’s from 9:30 – 11:30. Or call 845-469-4378.
