Florist dig 2010 season officially ended!

Hi all! Just wanted to let everyone know that we will not be meeting this weekend at the Florist Site. While the company is great and the finds are greater, mother nature is telling us to give it a rest for a while! The morning temps mixed with the sticky moisture of the soil provides enough indication that we should wrap up and resume when the ground has thawed. Thank you so much to everyone who was able to join us this field season. I am so pleased with the enthusiasm for the site as well as the chapter.

A special thanks as well to Gary Keeton and Clif Patrick for their wonderful commitment to the project! There is lots to be done still when we are able to get back in the dirt, and I will be letting everyone know when we will begin again next season. For anyone who is intesterested, I would like to schedule some days this winter for artifact processing. Artifact washing can be tedious, but processing collections is where some of the best knowledge is gained! Please let me know if you are interested and we can schedule further after the holidays. Best wishes to everyone for a safe and very happy holiday season!

Stephanie
