Member, Kevin Storms, will speak on the Karl Site was a three year undertaking by the Orange County Chapter of NYS Archaeological association in the early 1990s. This program will discuss the discovery, exploration and publication of a previously unknown archaeological resource in Orange County, NY perhaps Orange County's first industrial site: A Chert Quarry. I will also discuss Henry Wisner’s attempts to gather musket quality gunflint material for the American Revolution from this vicinity.
