January Chapter meeting tonight 7:30 pm

Reminder: Chapter meeting tonight, 1/15/2016 7:30 pm at the Mulbury House Senior Center located at 62-70 West Main Street, Middletown, NY 10940. All are welcome.

President’s Message:
Happy New Year! Everyone who attended the Annual Holiday meeting had a wonderful time and I'm so happy we can continue to enjoy that chapter tradition! This month Dave will be out speaker and give a "Part 2" to his excellent coin talk! See description below. This would be a fun time for anyone to bring a coin for show and tell and return to our themed meetings! I hope to see you all next week!

Dave will discuss coins of English between 1500 and 1800 and how they reflect the political, religious, colonial expansion and American Revolutionary events which took place during that time.

Barry Kass presents: “Stone Age Warwick” Exhibit and Archaeology Clinic

“Stone Age Warwick” Exhibit and Archaeology Clinic
The Albert Wisner Public Library will host a major exhibit of local Native American Artifacts beginning on Sunday, January 24, with a free “archaeology clinic” to help identify your finds from 1-3 PM. The exhibit in the Wisner Local History Room features “typed” projectile points showing continual occupation of the
area by successive cultures from 10,000 years ago to the Woodland period. Also featured will be a selection of artifacts from the Jack Webster collection. Archaeologists Barry Kass and Brad Phillips will be on hand for the “clinic” from 1-3 that day to help identify your finds. The exhibit will be open during library open hours through February.
